A Pocket Full of Love

An arepa is an authentic, traditional Venezuelan (and Colombian) dish. We do it the Venezuelan way! It can be served as a simple bread or split down the middle with added filling. Our gluten-free arepas are prepared the exact way our grandmother used to make them. We aren't big fans of pre-made Arepas; they take 15-20 minutes to prepare. The dough is made from South American corn flour, and the filling is also made from scratch.

Filling choices include: chicken, pork, beef, black bean, black bean, and cheese, or just a simple cheese filling.
The mixtures are combined with tomatoes, sauce, onions, garlic, salt, pepper, parsley, and cilantro - and you can ask for toppings like Colby-jack and cheddar cheese, greens and fresh sliced avocado (or you may request the traditional Venezuelan arepa, and we will be happy to give you a taste of our home).

Our arepas are a nice size and can act as a complete meal. Some of our friends prefer their arepa a little crisp on the outside, while others prefer it less crisp.

Please feel free to let us know how you would like yours! We look forward to seeing you soon and serving you a dish that makes us proud of our roots.
